Parties in July

Big thanx to everybody who came to the first Lagos Disco Inferno at Glasslands. I had such a great time. The place reminded me a lot of an illegal club in East Berlin named "Hohe Tatra" where I started dj-ing some 15 years ago. I haven't sweated like this in years... warm beer, concrete walls and no AC... I'm still feeling rejuvenated and honestly can't wait for the next one.

This is a great blog frank. I've been checking out the mixes more and more. I can't find your email address. I have some tunes that I wonder if you can identify.

Can you email me at contact@zulurose.com

Cheers.

Hi Frank

I bookmarked your blog a couple of months ago but then forgot about it. A couple of days ago I was bored and clicked on the bookmark again and to my surprise discovered a treasure trove of funky african music and a lot of very interesting information about the countries where it originated.

Thanks a lot for your work. Your blog seems to be one of the few sources, where one can find information and sound samples about the forgotten West African music scene of the 60s and 70s.

Greetings from Switzerland
